Class Report: ENGL 2413, Section 005; 20140825

Class began at 12:30pm in Morrill Hall Room 301. The class roster listed 29 students enrolled, an increase of one from the previous class meeting. Twenty-six attended, as verified through a brief writing exercise.

Discussion covered concerns of the abstract, upcoming quizzes, and assigned readings. Discussion of the readings focused on Baldwin's "Sonny's Blues," particularly the early passage concerning whistling.

Some students are participating well. Others need to add more to class discussions; the class suffers from the lack of their voices.
