Class began as 12:30pm in Morrill Hall Room 301. The class roster listed 25 students enrolled, a decline of four from the last class meeting; no students added the class. Twenty-four attended, as verified through a collected form.
Discussion covered introductory readings and indicated early how fraught the question of what literature is is. Some mention was made of the ongoing paper assignment, and students were reminded of the requirements for discussion board postings.
